MurCr is a free application that allows you to process your audio and video files and obtain different results. The application is developed by Koruz.biz, an organization operating in Türkiye since 2014.
With MurCr, you can trim your audio and video files, split them into equal parts, convert them to different file formats, create videos using an image file, and reduce file sizes.
MurCr has an interface suitable for both keyboard-focused and mouse usage. It is possible to perform actions quickly using keyboard shortcuts. • The interface consists of three main sections: main screen, player panel, and segment panel. • Default shortcuts are grouped. Tasks in the player panel use ALT + … shortcut sets, while buttons in the segment panel use SHIFT + … shortcut sets. • Default shortcuts are matched with English words. Examples: ALT + E (End - Finish), ALT + R (Reload), ALT + C (Change - Switch Source), SHIFT + E (Edit), SHIFT + N (New), SHIFT + R (Reports) • Transitions between the player panel and segment panel, as well as actions in the segment editing area, are also assigned to shortcuts. You can customize shortcuts from the application settings.
Time ranges (segments) define the start and end intervals where processing will be applied in your file. For example, in trimming, each time range you create using the "S" and "F" shortcuts is a segment. Each segment has a start time and an end time. Example: 01:10:15 - 01:15:30. This range represents the interval between 1 hour 10 minutes 15 seconds and 1 hour 15 minutes 30 seconds of the video.
The player integrated into MurCr can be controlled with a keyboard-focused approach. Default shortcuts: Play/Pause: Space Replay: ALT+R Show time: ALT+T Seek 5 seconds forward/backward: CTRL+Left/Right Arrow Seek 30 seconds forward/backward: CTRL+SHIFT+Left/Right Arrow Seek 5 minutes forward/backward: CTRL+ALT+Left/Right Arrow Change source: ALT+C
MurCr performs trimming based on segments. There are two options in this task: "Merge selected": Time ranges in the segment list are trimmed and the resulting parts are merged into a new file. "Extract selected": Time ranges in the segment list are removed from the file to create a new video.
Scenario 1: Creating segments using the player 1. Play your file. 2. Use "S" and "F" shortcuts to mark start and end points. 3. Choose the desired option ("Extract selected" or "Merge selected"). 4. Scenario 2: Creating segments manually 1. Press SHIFT + N (New Segment). 2. Enter start and end values. 3. Make your selection. 4. Start the process with ALT + E. 5. Select the appropriate option in the "Task completed" dialog.
